Job summary

Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in Evansville, IN, is seeking a Behavior Support/Behavior Specialist to implement tiered supports for PK-12 students. The role begins at Fairlawn Elementary School and may move to other sites based on need.

The position is 183 days per year, 7.25 hours daily, with a starting salary range of $45,765 to $68,644 plus a $5,000 annual BCBA stipend for certified specialists. Eligible staff receive comprehensive insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis or related fields; Associate's degree required.
• Experience working with PK-12 students; knowledge of child and adolescent cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral development and function-based plans.
• Must have a valid driver's license for travel to multiple schools.

Responsibilities

• Support Tier I behavior support practices using data to inform prevention and intervention.
• Collaborate with MTSS teams to implement evidence-based interventions.
• Record data and interventions using tablets/computers per district standards.
• Develop, review and modify student support plans including function-based plans.
• Provide workshops and trainings on behavior support strategies.

Education
