Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a Behavior Specialist to support students with diverse needs in a Special Education program. This role focuses on implementing school-wide positive behavior supports, data-driven decision making, and crisis de-escalation to minimize disruptions.

Responsibilities include collaborating with IEP teams, mentoring staff, and maintaining detailed behavior records. The ideal candidate will have ABA knowledge and experience with behavioral plans for

Qualifications

• Experience with behavioral instruction in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with ABC data collection, BIPs and PBIS approaches is preferred.
• Ability to develop and monitor behavioral plans and support staff in implementation.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual, group, and system-wide interventions to improve outcomes.
• Reinforce positive behavior and model effective strategies for staff.
• Maintain records related to SBS and BIPs with accuracy.
• Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform instruction with IEP teams.
• Provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior management systems.
