Capital School District is seeking a qualified specialist to coach teachers in implementing student-specific behavior plans. The role focuses on data-driven interventions, de-escalation strategies, and collaboration with school teams to support students with behavioral needs.

The candidate will participate in IEP/Behavior Plan reviews, attend IST meetings, and help connect families with community resources. This is a 10-month, temporary position.

Qualifikationen

• Must currently hold an RBT certification or be eligible for certification by June 2027.
• Bachelor's Degree in special education or related field.
• ABA knowledge/ experience preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations.

Aufgaben

• Intervene with exceptional students with behavior issues and provide coaching to teachers.
• Consult with building leadership, district BCBAs, and interventionists.
• Collect data on student progress and interventions.
• Collaborate with Kent County Intensive Learning Center and other partners.
• Develop relationships with community agencies to support students.
• Attend monthly PLCs and IST meetings.
• Monitor classroom behaviors and implement behavior programs.
• Assist staff with writing and implementing behavioral plans.
