Job summary

Brightli is seeking a School Based Support Specialist II to facilitate smooth transitions for youths into community living. You will collaborate with mental health services and school staff to deliver tailored resources and support, promoting recovery and resilience in home and school settings.

The role requires coordinating school-hour services, applying behavioral science, and executing comprehensive treatment plans to help students succeed academically and socially.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Two years of related work experience if the degree is in another field.
• AS in Behavioral Health Support is also acceptable.
• Four years delivering services to individuals with mental health/substance use/Developmental disorder diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Apply behavioral science principles to support youth in thriving at home and in the community.
• Provide services during school hours directly on school premises.
• Align services with treatment goals and promote recovery and resilience.
• Engage in activities to meet diverse student needs and objectives.
• Manage a caseload with supervision and participate in staffing to set goals.
• Provide emergency services during emotional crises and follow up.
• Adhere to Brightli guidelines and ethical codes.
• Support data collection, program evaluation, and grant applications.
• Conduct outreach and home visits as needed, including school breaks.
• Take on additional responsibilities to ensure quality mental health services.
