Job summary

New Hanover County Health and Human Services is seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional to join our School Mental Health Program, supporting the emotional well-being and academic success of students across the county.

As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will be assigned to New Hanover County schools to provide comprehensive therapeutic services to students in a supportive, school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Must possess licensure to practice in North Carolina (LCSW, LCMHC, or LPA).
• Out-of-state candidates with LPC may be considered but must obtain NC licensure before hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and intake evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a school-based setting.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and required reports.
• Submit billing information for reimbursement and collaborate with families to connect to community resources.
