Job summary

Grandsettlement in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Family Development Coach to manage the NDA program at the Bushwick-Hylan Community Center. You will coordinate student and family support services, collaborate with school staff, and drive attendance and outcomes for 44 students.

The role requires 35-hour work weeks, with evenings and some Saturdays; a relevant degree and prior adolescent services experience are preferred. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of assessment, service planning, case management and intervention with adolescents.
• Experience collaborating with public schools and community-based organizations.
• FDC program completion within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a program of 35 students within the school setting.
• Provide monthly coaching to develop service plans and goals for attendance, academics, college readiness and internships.
• Coordinate and implement NDA grant strategies in coordination with the CS Assistant Director and school administration.
• Supervise Activity Specialists to ensure quality programs and deliver group trainings for families.
• Connect families to community resources such as job development and food assistance.
• Enter attendance and case management data into DYCD CONNECT and other systems.
• Participate in ongoing professional development with GSS, DYCD and others.
