Job summary

Moses Weitzman Health System is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician – Licensed SBHC for a full-time, school-based clinic in East Haven, CT. The role involves diagnostic evaluations, care planning, and delivering individual, family, or group therapy within a school setting.

This clinician will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, document interventions per regulatory standards, and may supervise unlicensed staff.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience with outpatients, including children and/or adults.
• Theoretical orientation aligned with brief, problem-focused therapy.
• Reliable access to transportation for outside assessments and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial behavioral health evaluations and provide individual, group, or family psychotherapy.
• Lead multiple therapy groups per week and work within an interdisciplinary team.
• Document all clinical interventions per state regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Coordinate with psychiatric/medical providers for treatment planning and referrals.
• Attend team meetings and meet productivity standards while ensuring quality care.
