Job summary

Community Health Center in East Haven, CT is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician in a School Based Health Center to deliver diagnostic evaluations, formulate care plans, and provide individual or group therapy. You will document all interventions per policy and participate in an inter-professional team.

The role is a full-time position aligned with the school calendar (195 days/year), with supervision responsibilities for unlicensed staff and students as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Licensure in CT (LCSW/LMFT/LPC) or license-eligible with pathway to full licensure within 3 years.
• Two years minimum outpatient experience with children and/or adults.
• Brief, problem-focused theoretical orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial behavioral health evaluations and psychotherapy with clients.
• Lead groups to provide direct clinical work and outreach.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team and refer to psychiatric/medical providers as needed.
• Prepare clinical documentation per Joint Commission and CHC standards.
