Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Technician for school-based support in Suffolk County. The role involves working with students during specified school hours, collaborating with teachers and specialists, and implementing behavior support plans.

The position is part-time, follows the school district calendar, and offers opportunities for RBT/BCBA supervision and professional development. A High School Diploma is required, with preference for candidates pursuing related undergraduate studies

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience with children or adolescents with special needs in supervised setting
• High School Diploma required
• Reliable transportation required
• Undergraduate program in psychology/healthcare/human services/education preferred
• Experience with autism or maladaptive behaviors preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors in a professional manner
• Collaborate with school personnel to support student success in the classroom
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support under supervision
• Assist with classroom assignments under direction of teacher
• Implement behavior support plans and data collection with progress reporting
