Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a School-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for an elementary setting for the 2026-2027 year. This full-time position offers 1:1 and classroom support, with supervision provided remotely by BCBA supervisors and data-driven behavior plans.

You will work onsite in an elementary school, collaborating with teachers and special education staff to collect data and implement behavior interventions. Immediate start through the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification in good standing with the BACB.
• Completion of the 40-hour RBT training course.
• Experience in behavior and special education settings.
• Passing score on the ParaPro assessment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with data collection in educational settings.
• Ability to meet SSG and district requirements for school employment.
• Reliable transportation to school sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support throughout the school day.
• Collect and record behavioral data, including ABC and baseline data.
• Implement behavior support plans with fidelity under BCBA supervision.
• Provide behavioral support and intervention, reinforcing replacement behaviors.
• Offer emotional support and general academic assistance.
• Assist with mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering if needed.
• Support teachers and aides as needed.
• Collaborate with the BCBA, teachers, and school team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality.
