Job summary

Granite School District seeks a Behavior Support Technician (BST) – General Education to support students with the most severe behavior challenges. The BST will work under supervision of special education behavior specialists and report to Special Education administrators, delivering targeted instruction and data-driven behavior plans.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver\'s license, independent transportation, and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Independent transportation to travel to various schools.

Responsibilities

Implement behavior strategies and/or provide one-to-one or small group instruction to students with challenging behaviors.
Deliver direct instruction to students in the special education and general education settings.
Collect data on behavior and/or academic target(s).
Train and support school-based paraeducators in the schools.
Provide emergency support to students in crisis.
Participate in regular professional development and embedded training including MANDT training.
Attend regularly scheduled training sessions held by district supervisors (several trainings monthly).
Must implement and monitor academic and behavior interventions as directed for application in all educational settings.
Must be able to work flexible hours based on student needs.
May be required to ride the school bus to and from school with student(s).
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must have transportation to travel independently to various schools.
