Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY seeks a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to support school teams with evidence-based behavioral services. Roles include FBAs, BIPs, data-driven decisions, and coaching staff on implementing plans. Part-time or full-time with fee-for-service options available.

Candidates should have BCBA certification (preferred) and a Master’s in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field, plus relevant experience and a NYS license. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in one of the following: Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services.
• BCBA Certification preferred.
• NYS Driver’s License and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate to identify function of behavior and effective interventions.
• Design, implement, and monitor BIPs aligned with student needs and goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to classroom staff on behavioral strategies.
• Support IEP implementation and attend CSE meetings as needed.
• Prepare progress notes, reports, and data summaries with HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
