Job summary

Family of Kidz in Syosset, NY seeks a Behavior Consultant/BCBA for part-time or full-time work to support students with behavioral needs. Collaborate with school teams to implement data-driven interventions, conduct FBAs, and develop BIPs.

Must have BCBA certification, a Master’s in ABA or related field, and a NYS driver’s license. Competitive hourly pay and benefits for full-time staff; travel between districts is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in one of the following: Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services
• BCBA Certification required
• NYS Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance

Responsibilities

• Partner with school administrators, teachers, aides, related service providers, and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify the function of behavior and develop effective intervention strategies
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with student needs and educational goals
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate student progress and make data-driven recommendations
• Develop practical, classroom-based behavioral supports that promote student independence and engagement
• Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and feedback to staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral strategies
• Collaborate with school teams to support IEP implementation and CSE meetings
• Maintain confidentiality of student records in line with HIPAA/FERPA
