Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the special education team. You will develop ABA-based strategies aligned with IEP goals and support inclusive classroom environments.

In this role, you will conduct FBAs, design BIPs, coach teachers and staff, participate in IEP meetings, and monitor data to guide treatment decisions while ensuring compliance with IDEA and Section 504.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA or related field.
• Current CT BCBA certification and state licensure.
• Experience in K-12 with IDEA and 504 regulations.
• Knowledge of FBAs and BIPs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct school-based FBAs to understand behavior function.
• Design and implement BIPs and train staff.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings to set behavioral goals.
• Assist with data collection and monitoring of interventions.
• Support crisis interventions and safety/stabilization planning.
