Job summary

Salem Public Schools is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join the Special Education team in Salem, MA. The BCBA will deliver direct services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, model strategies for staff, and develop data-driven supports while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities include developing IEP goals, overseeing data collection, and collaborating with families, staff, and administrators.

Qualifications

• State certified or certifiable as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Experience delivering school-based services to school-aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, PreK-12.
• Complete required service documentation and School-Based Medicaid submissions.
• Possess effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ABA strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across all settings.
• Evaluate students for services (ABBLS, VB MAPP, FBA, observational data, checklists).
• Oversee data-collection, analysis, and reporting to monitor progress and behaviors.
• Define target behaviors in objective terms and design IEP goals and objectives.
• Develop behavior support plans and social skills curriculum, ensuring consistency in programming.
• Present progress toward goals through IEP reports and meetings.
• Assist with professional development and provide staff with resources and modeling of techniques.
