Job summary

Fort Smith Public Schools is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide district-wide behavioral supports within the Special Education program. The role reports to the Director of Special Education and operates under a 212-day contract with benefits per the employee agreement.

The BCBA will assess needs, develop data-based interventions, train staff, and collaborate across PreK–21 settings to improve student outcomes in Least Restrictive Environments.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification required.
• Master's degree required.
• Experience in public schools pre-K through 21 preferred.
• Knowledge of ABA therapy.
• PBIS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavior analytic services to support special education staff and administrators in delivering behavioral supports.
• Conduct assessments and develop plans aligned with IDEA and Arkansas regulations.
• Provide district-wide training on behavior intervention techniques to staff.
• Design and implement behavior interventions with district approvals.
• Coach staff on behavior interventions and supports and participate in Planning and Placement Team meetings.
