Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a Site Director to run a School Age program, ensuring child safety and supporting social, physical, spiritual and mental growth in line with YMCA guidelines and DHS standards.

The role requires coordinating a 6:30am–6:00pm schedule across multiple sites, supervising staff, maintaining licensing files, and fostering positive relationships with schools, parents and the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in child development or related field.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Oversee before/after school site operations with 20–99 students and support seasonal camps.
• Maintain policies, procedures and licensing standards; conduct licensing inspections.
• Implement daily curriculum per YMCA guidelines; lead staff and children.
• Lead and engage groups of 15–20 children.
• Set up/tear down space to maintain an organized environment.
• Supervise staff; assist in training and development.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; build relations with schools and parents.
• Develop and participate in parent advisory board meetings twice yearly.
• Maintain DHS licensing files; coordinate with billing services.
• Manage supplies, inventory and snack purchases.
• Participate in YMCA volunteer programs and annual campaigns.
