Job summary

The Sussex YMCA Family (Cape School District) is seeking a part-time School Age Site Administrator to support the Before/After Care program in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Rate of pay is $16.00 per hour, final compensation based on skills and experience.

You will supervise the site, coordinate activities, and communicate with families, ensuring safety and quality care for children while collaborating with staff and leadership to foster a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years old and meet one licensing option.
• Complete a physical and TB screening within 30 days of hire.
• Background check per Delaware requirements.
• Strong listening, patience, and communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Be on-site 50% of the program’s operating hours to ensure consistency and quality.
• Supervise the site, children, groups, and activities with safe, healthy childcare practices.
• Provide daily care for children including feeding and supporting social/emotional needs.
• Engage children in classroom activities including literacy, health living, STEM and physical activity.
• Plan and participate in daily age-appropriate activities to ensure learning opportunities.
• Observe and document children’s progress and development.
• Communicate with coworkers, branch administration, and parents to build positive relationships.
• Ensure all members receive exceptional service and maintain a safe facility.
• Complete required program documentation (attendance, meals, drills, etc.).
• Attend family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and professional development.
