Job summary

The YMCA of Delaware is seeking a School Age Site Administrator for the Bear-Glasgow Family location. This part-time role focuses on supervising the before/after care program, engaging youth in age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a safe, healthy environment for children and families.

The administrator will build positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community while ensuring licensing standards are met and program documentation is kept up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Must meet licensing requirements and complete physical & TB screening.
• Criminal history and background checks as required by Delaware.
• Proficient active listening to understand and engage with children and parents.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Be on-site 50% of program hours to ensure consistency and quality.
• Supervise children, groups, and activities with safe, developmentally appropriate practices.
• Provide daily care including feeding and supporting social-emotional needs.
• Lead classroom activities ensuring literacy, health, STEM, and physical activities.
• Observe and document progress and communicate with parents and staff.
• Maintain clean, safe facilities and required program documentation.
