Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and meet one of listed education/credential paths.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff.
• Ability to create a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate environment.
• Criminal history and background checks as required by Delaware law.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children, classroom and activities with safe practices.
• Provide daily care including diapering, toileting, feeding, and social/emotional support.
• Engage children in classroom activities and transitions.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for learning.
• Observe and document child progress and development.
• Communicate with coworkers, administration and parents to foster collaboration.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
• Complete program documentation and attend staff meetings and trainings.
