Job summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast seeks a Youth Development Program Site Director to lead a School-Age Program site in Crystal River, FL. You will manage daily operations, ensure safety and developmentally appropriate activities, and build strong relationships with families, schools, and the community.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, planning lessons, maintaining records, and assisting with budgeting and fundraising.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; higher degree preferred in a child-related field.
Experience in childcare and staff supervision (min 2 years) is expected.
Knowledge of youth development practices and child behavior management.
CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire; state training within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily site operations to provide a safe, nurturing environment.
Design lesson plans focusing on social-emotional learning, academics, and enrichment.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
Engage families and community through school functions and partnerships.
Assist with budget and fee collection; support fundraising activities.
Maintain records for children, staff, and compliant with licensing.
