Job summary

Catalyst Family is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support planning and implementation of age-appropriate programming for children from infants to school age at various centers. This entry-level role focuses on supporting development, safety, and social-emotional growth while working with a collaborative team.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Assistant Teachers support the needs of the classroom under direction/supervision.
• Entry level role with center teaching staff qualifications.
• Education/permit requirements may vary by center and age group.
• 6 postsecondary semester or equivalent units in Early Childhood Education or related field with passing grades C- or better, OR regional occupation program certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum connected to children’s interests and promote positive development.
• Maintain intentional, enriched, and supportive environments that are age appropriate for all children.
• Provide excellent customer service through authentic connections with children, families, schools, communities, and the classroom team.
• Keep children healthy and safe through supervision, positive interactions, healthy habits, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with staff to align values, education, and experience to provide high-quality programs.
