Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a supervisor for the after-school/child care program. The role involves implementing the program, stepping in for the director or assistant director when needed, and promoting strong relations with the school community and families.

Qualifications

• Leader must be present at center at least 40% of each operation day or when director/assistant director are absent.
• At least 3 months (i.e. 460 hours) of experience working with school-aged children in a paid child care setting.
• Experience in a paid child care program or licensed teaching experience.
• Ability to work with school-age children.

Responsibilities

• Enforces Rules Regulating School-Age Child Care Centers.
• Enforces procedures in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Assumes supervisory role when director/assistant director are absent.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Follows and enforces program discipline procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and arts and crafts projects.
• Works toward providing high-quality childcare.
• Communicates effectively with parents, staff, and coworkers.
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
