Job summary

Towson University is seeking a Scholarship and Program Coordinator in University Advancement. The role oversees the distribution of donated funds and ensures compliance with donor intents and applicable rules, collaborating with campus partners and providing training on scholarship management software.

Telework may be available for up to two days per week after 90 days of service. The position offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including 22 days of annual leave and tuition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and analytical skills; strong computer skills and familiarity with fundraising and/or relationship management databases; detail-oriented, able to work independently, have excellent follow-through and planning abilities; must be able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of the Towson University Foundation scholarship program by reviewing donor agreements and auditing documentation to ensure conformance with donor agreements and policy.
• Develop on-site training sessions for campus users, create training aids, liaise with vendor support, and gather feedback to enhance skills.
• Prepare statistical, financial and stewardship reports to help promote fund utilization and review project balances; produce ad hoc reports as requested.
• Respond to questions about scholarships and project balances, and assist in investigations if policies are violated.
• Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with grant agreements; communicate with campus colleagues on budgets and reporting.
• Assist in gift agreement review to assess donor spending criteria before accepting gifts.
• Submit private financial awards to the Office of Financial Aid and map data from scholarship systems for import into the financial aid system.
• Respond to external auditors with detailed information about scholarships and grants.
