Texas Health Resources is seeking a Scheduling Specialist in Dallas to coordinate and schedule procedures across departments, ensuring timely patient access and accurate appointment details.

You will verify insurance coverage, communicate with patients and staff, and support process improvements. The role requires strong customer service, healthcare familiarity, and adherence to payor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• One year of health care experience including customer relations required.
• Two years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of medical terminology or certification is preferred.
• Six months call center experience preferred.
• CHAA – Certified Healthcare Access Associate upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedules procedures for multiple departments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Selects appropriate procedures and ICD diagnosis, referral, provider, visit type or case, insurance network coverage and location to expeditate patient access to care.
• Effectively communicates with patients, physician office scheduling, surgery scheduling, and staff to reduce appointment time errors.
• Verifies medical necessity criteria to ensure documentation in compliance with payor guidelines.
• Participates in special projects or completes other duties as assigned.

Work hours: Full-Time; Days; Monday- Friday, 9a-5:30p for 40 hrs/week

Here’s What You Need
