Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain weekly client and Care Professional schedules based on client needs, caregiver availability, skills, compatibility, and requested hours.
  • Match Care Professionals with clients while prioritizing continuity of care and consistent caregiver assignments whenever possible.
  • Communicate schedule assignments and changes clearly and promptly with Care Professionals, clients, and families.
  • Manage caregiver call-outs, requested time off, availability changes, and last-minute scheduling needs.
  • Identify open shifts and actively work to secure appropriate coverage.
  • Assist with urgent and emergency scheduling situations to prevent interruptions in client care.
  • Monitor scheduled hours, overtime, availability, and staffing needs to maintain appropriate coverage.
  • Work closely with recruitment and management to communicate current and anticipated staffing needs.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling information and documentation within the company’s scheduling system.
  • Build positive working relationships with Care Professionals and assist in resolving scheduling concerns.
  • Communicate client changes, caregiver concerns, and other important information to the appropriate members of the office team.
  • Participate in on-call rotation one weeknight per week and one weekend per month, responding to after-hours client, caregiver, and scheduling needs.
  • Coordinate emergency coverage for caregiver call-outs and other unexpected staffing situations while on call.
  • Provide direct caregiving support when necessary during emergency staffing situations or when immediate coverage cannot otherwise be secured, helping maintain continuity and safety of client care.
  • Assist with general office, administrative, and staffing responsibilities as needed
