Ephraim McDowell Health in Kentucky is seeking a central scheduling clerk to manage radiology and related procedures, coordinating with clinical departments and physician offices.
You will use the hospital information system scheduling module, ensure correct sequencing and timing, and help with insurance and patient data collection. Strong data entry, medical terminology knowledge, and clear communication are required; one year scheduling experience preferred.
Performs central scheduling for all patients. Exhibits the values of F.I.R.S.T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Small work station area with above average levels of noise. Minimal physical exertion required. Must be able to work with interruptions. The task of this job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue. Must be able to move or position 5 lbs. independently.
Has contact with patients, visitors, Associates, physicians, and physicians’ staff.
Data entry and calculator skills required. Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills a must. Uses personal terminals, copy, fax machine and computer printers.
Previous scheduling experience with knowledge of medical terminology preferred. A minimum of one (1) year experience required.
