Job summary

Bethesda Chevy Chase Surgery Center is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to plan and schedule surgical and related appointments for doctors. The role involves coordinating between the Surgery Center and doctors’ offices, gathering detailed patient chart information, and supporting front office functions.

The position requires a high school education and up to one year of related experience or training. Salary ranges from $22.69 to $32.90 per hour, with typical benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Salary range provided: Min $22.69 to Max $32.90.

Responsibilities

• Maintains master schedule to coordinate between doctors, anesthesia, lab and insurance carriers.
• Schedules surgeries and coordinates schedule between Surgery Center and doctor’s offices.
• Gathers detailed information for patient charts (procedure type, supplies, equipment, insurance).
• Provides relief for the front business office as needed.

Surgery Scheduler at Bethesda Chevy Chase Surgery Center:

Plans and schedules for surgical and related appointments for doctors. Manages certain functions related to Credentialing of professional staff members for the facility by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains master schedule to ensure coordination between doctors, anesthesia, lab and insurance carriers.
• Schedule surgeries, coordinates schedule between Surgery Center and doctor''s offices.
• Gathers all detailed information for the patient''s chart, such as type of procedure, supplies, special equipment required, insurance information, etc.
• Provides relief for the front business office, Receptionist and all other business functions, as needed.

Salary Range: Min $22.69 to Max $32.90. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
