Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area seeks a Scheduler Abstractor to join the Surgical Svcs Admin team at St. Joseph's South. You will perform general clerical duties, handle patient scheduling and coding in Envision, and liaise with physicians and patients to ensure smooth workflows.

The role is full-time, hybrid, with daytime hours, and offers benefits such as health coverage, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) match. Prior scheduling/Admin experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical and scheduling duties for patients
• Procedure coding in Envision
• Patient charging, daily reconciliation, post procedure record abstracting, data entry, monthly statistical reporting
• Price quotes, insurance verification and authorization, journaling
• Physician and patient liaison; perform other duties as assigned

Scheduler Abstractor Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing general clerical and communication duties, including all patient scheduling, procedure coding in Envision, patient charging, daily reconciliation, post procedure record abstracting, data entry, monthly statistical reporting, price quotes, insurance verification and authorization, journaling, physician and patient liaison. Perform other duties as assigned.
