Baptist Health is seeking a patient scheduling specialist in Florida to coordinate appointments for surgical and diagnostic procedures. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, register patients, and enter data into scheduling systems while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training/experience.
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting, Surgery preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling Systems (i.e. Net Access, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chart links etc.).
  • Medical Terminology required.
  • Experience with high volume calls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.

Description

Responsible for scheduling patient appointments (surgical, diagnostic therapy and other procedures/treatments). Obtains and verifies necessary demographic and insurance information. Registers patients and enters data into scheduling systems. Maintains records and accounts. Provides professional customer service. Serves patients by greeting and helping them. Leads and trains other schedulers and acts as a resource. Estimated pay range for this position is $20.02 - $25.43 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training/experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting, Surgery preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling Systems (i.
