Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Scheduler Abstractor to join the Surgical Services Admin team at Morton Plant. This full-time role handles patient scheduling, procedure coding in Envision, patient charging, and daily reconciliation.

The position requires a High School diploma; an Associate degree and Scheduling/Admin experience are preferred. The role operates 8:30am–5:00pm, Mon–Fri, at the Morton Plant facility, with on-site duties and patient-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical and communication duties, including patient scheduling
• Code procedures in Envision and handle patient charging
• Conduct daily reconciliation and post procedure record abstracting
• Enter data, prepare monthly statistical reports, provide price quotes, verify insurance and obtain authorizations
• Serve as a liaison between physicians and patients

Scheduler Abstractor Responsibilities

Responsible for performing general clerical and communication duties, including all patient scheduling, procedure coding in Envision, patient charging, daily reconciliation, post procedure record abstracting, data entry, monthly statistical reporting, price quotes, insurance verification and authorization, journaling, physician and patient liaison. Perform other duties as assigned.
