Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Scheduler I to schedule patients for office visits and procedures. The role involves handling high call volumes, coordinating physician schedules, and entering appointments in the EMR system to ensure timely care.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient check-in/out, registering patients and processing payments, and supporting triage communications for the medical staff. A high school diploma and prior medical scheduling experience are preferred.

  • May schedule radiology/lab, recall scheduling.
  • Assists with check-in and check-out of patients.
  • Assists in collecting patient and insurance payments and reconciles charges daily.
  • Files records in EMR.
  • Prepares patient charts in advance and scans documents into EMR.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position purpose

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

2-5 years of prior medical scheduling is preferred

Requirements For Level I Status
  • Entry level (1-4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
  • Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.
Performance Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Strong sense of ethics.
