Job summary

Breaking Ground is seeking a Property Coordinator, Scatter Site, to work with the operation manager to prepare and maintain NYC scatter site apartments and collaborate with landlords and building supers. You will oversee turnovers, inspections, and repairs to ensure units meet Breaking Ground standards and client needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with city agencies, maintaining records, and supporting lease renewals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of supportive or subsidized housing programs in NYC; prior property management experience.
• Facilities/maintenance background with basic repair skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask; strong oral and written communication.
• Notary preferred; valid NY/NJ driver’s license preferred; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with landlords, building supers and management companies for scatter site buildings.
• Ensure apartment turnovers are timely and include painting, cleaning, and outfitting with keys, appliances and furniture.
• Conduct and maintain record of apartment inspections to ensure units meet standards.
• Record, track, monitor, and report on repairs through completion.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to address client apartment issues and communicate important concerns.
• Serve as main contact for Superintendents and property managers to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Assist staff in the tenant move-out process and coordinate with resident management software.
