Job summary

Breaking Ground in New York City seeks an Assistant Director, Programs, Scatter Site to support clinical operations, supervise Clinical Coordinators, and oversee leasing and maintenance of scatter-site apartments. Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work and an active LMSW license required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with 24/7 programs and homelessness strongly preferred.
• Thorough clinical understanding of Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction models.
• Crisis intervention experience including risk assessments and incident management.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain partnerships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Access-based databases.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Clinical Coordinators and supports effective management of Case Managers.
• Provide regular, structured supervision meetings for direct reports.
• Promote Housing First and Harm Reduction in case management and housing placement.
• Oversee development and implementation of service plans; ensure documentation is complete.
• Coordinate delivery of care with multiple service providers.
• Guide staff in managing difficult situations and de-escalation.
• Engage with external partners, government and community stakeholders to plan services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
