Job summary

Evergreen Roadworks in Urbana, IL is hiring a Scalehouse Clerk to support plant operations and the billing department. This role operates truck scales and scale software to weigh loads and issue tickets, while maintaining accurate records for billing, inventory and compliance.

You will file daily tickets, reconcile logs, respond to inquiries by phone or email, and ensure health and safety policies are followed, including PPE.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in scalehouse/dispatch/shipping/receiving or similar clerical role.
• Preferred experience in highway construction, aggregates, asphalt, or a plant environment.
• Preferred familiarity with scale/ticketing software and DOT weight regulations.

Responsibilities

• Weighs inbound and outbound trucks using truck scales and scale software.
• Creates and issues load tickets with essential information.
• Scans and files daily tickets; maintains logs of material shipped/received.
• Submits daily cash sales for the site.
