SA Recycling is seeking a Scale Operator to accurately weigh trucks entering and leaving the yard while delivering courteous service to suppliers and drivers. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

You will handle documentation, weigh tickets, and logs; participate in scale testing; process payments, and support pricing questions. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; reliability and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Detail-oriented with data entry accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Experience with weight scales is a plus.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Weigh trucks entering and leaving yard and provide courteous service to suppliers and company drivers.
• Complete all documentation and reports; maintain weigh tickets and logs.
• Test scales for accuracy and report malfunctions to the General Manager.
• Process payments and keep records of all transactions.
• Assist suppliers with questions on pricing and materials; maintain contacts to promote business."
• Cross-train and back up other office personnel as needed.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
