Circular Services in Sarasota, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Scale Operator to support scale house operations and ensure accurate weight data for incoming haulers and outbound shipments. You will operate the scale system and perform day-to-day administrative tasks in a fast-paced recycling plant.

The role requires strong data entry, communication with drivers and supervisors, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a noisy environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Accurate data entry from multiple sources.
• Ability to work under pressure in a noisy plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale house computers to obtain weight information for incoming recycle haulers and outbound shipments.
• Compare scale tickets and bills of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents and weights.
• Operate traffic control devices to allow vehicles to proceed to tipping area and exit from facility.
• Issue receipts to vehicle drivers and collect tickets.
• Maintain accurate overall record keeping for reporting and analysis.
• Communicate with haulers, truck drivers and supervisors by telephone, written form, and email.
