Job summary

ITC is seeking a Scale Coordinator to join our terminal operations in the United States. You will be cross-trained with the Relief Scale Coordinator and perform all duties during coverage, ensuring accurate load paperwork, scale ticket entry, and safety compliance for truck operations.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle emergencies as part of the Safety Department.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience within the terminal or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Windows applications, JD Edwards, and use of the Internet.
• Working knowledge of computers and office machines including experience with a ten-key calculator.
• Knowledge of basic math skills in calculating and strapping tank trucks.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and DOT standards.
• Good organizational, decision making, verbal communication skills and attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Process all trucks to load or unload at the terminal including: check truck driver credentials and safety compliance.
• Calculate tank truck loads and record the quantity to load on paperwork.
• Review paperwork and unload instructions for tank truck unloads.
• Weigh in/out for non-automated trucks and issue paperwork including final bills of lading and safety data sheets.
• Distribute paperwork and enter scale tickets into the computer.
• Maintain supplies such as seals and scale tickets.
• Serve as central communications center during off-hours and emergencies.
• During emergencies, contact personnel and follow Safety Department directions.
• Assist the Land Traffic Department as directed by the Land Traffic Supervisor.
• Prepare and issue Scale Relief Log.
