Job summary

Intercontinental-Terminals-Company-LL is seeking a Scale Coordinator to support loading and unloading operations at the Texas terminal. You will verify driver credentials, ensure compliance with ITC safety rules, and manage all related paperwork and scale tickets.

The role requires accuracy in recording quantities and coordinating with the Safety and Land Traffic teams. The position demands a 12-hour rotating shift, at least two years in a terminal or petrochemical setting, and strong computer

Qualifications

• Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience within the terminal or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Windows applications, JD Edwards, and use of the Internet.
• Working knowledge of computers and office machines including experience with a ten-key calculator.
• Knowledge of basic math skills in calculating and strapping tank trucks.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and DOT standards.
• Good organizational, decision making, verbal communication skills and attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Process all trucks to load or unload at the terminal.
• Calculate tank truck loads and record the quantity to load on the paperwork.
• Check all paperwork and pertinent information for unloads.
• Weigh in/out and issue paperwork to truck drivers for non-automated processing.
• Enter scale tickets into the computer and maintain scale supplies.
• Act as central communications center during off-hours and emergencies.
• Assist the Land Traffic Department as directed.
• Prepare and issue Scale Relief Log.
