Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Scalehouse Operator to manage inbound and outbound truck scale operations and maintain accurate records of weights, shipments, and inventory transactions.

You will serve as a key contact for drivers, customers, and operations staff while ensuring efficient traffic flow and compliance with safety standards. The role emphasizes data entry, document handling, and coordination with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in scalehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, transportation, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and with operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scale systems and accurately record inbound and outbound weights.
• Verify load information, shipping documents, purchase orders, and delivery tickets.
• Enter and maintain data within ERP, inventory, and scale software systems.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, dispatch, and warehouse teams regarding shipments and deliveries.
• Direct truck drivers to appropriate loading and unloading locations.
• Generate scale tickets, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
• Monitor inventory movements and report discrepancies or issues to management.
• Answer phones, assist customers and drivers, and provide general administrative support.
• Maintain organized records and filing systems for shipments and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
