Job summary

Kimble Company is seeking a Scale House Attendant to weigh loads, issue scale tickets, collect gate fees, and balance receipts at our waste facilities. You’ll support truck drivers, contractors, and the public with courteous service and clear guidance.

This role handles data entry, basic accounting, and daily reporting using PC Scales and Tower systems, and it requires strong Excel and Word skills along with reliable recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in fast-paced trucking or scale operation is a must.
• Dispatching experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of basic accounting, recordkeeping, and cash handling is required.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, personnel, and the public.
• Excellent customer service and accurate recordkeeping skills required.

Responsibilities

• Attend scales for inbound/outbound loads and weigh recording.
• Generate scale tickets and enter data into the company database.
• Determine disposal fees based on defined formulas and criteria.
• Provide customer service and direct drivers to loading/unloading areas.
• Enter and retrieve data from online systems and prepare reports.
• Prepare documents using Word/Excel and related software.
• Operate standard office equipment and perform clerical tasks.
• Enforce safety rules and inform drivers and the public about regulations.
• Dispatch trucks to transfer facilities and adjust schedules based on volumes.
• Relay maintenance information from drivers to the shop team.
• Develop daily trucking schedules to maximize fleet efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as required.
