Job summary

Lautenbach Recycling is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Washington to be the first point of contact for customers and drivers at the Mount Vernon or Bellingham location.

You will handle calls, greet arrivals, process payments, and coordinate with dispatch and yard staff to keep operations running smoothly. A minimum of two years in customer service and basic MS Office skills are required. Training is provided for scales and the scrap metal process.

Qualifications

• At least two years of customer service experience.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist customers and drivers with questions.
• Greet customers and drivers upon arrival and guide them through the process.
• Process payments (cash, check, credit) and reconcile receipts during opening/closing.
• Coordinate with dispatch, yard staff, and management by phone, email, or radio; maintain front office SOPs.
