Job summary

Evlo AI in Chicago, IL is seeking a seasoned DevOps/SRE to own production infrastructure. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes workloads, and drive SRE practices that enhance reliability and reduce toil.

Responsibilities include automating deployments, improving observability, and optimizing AWS costs, while collaborating with developers on secure, scalable patterns for containerized services.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of DevOps/SRE experience maintaining production systems at scale.
• Hands-on Kubernetes production experience, including troubleshooting workloads and upgrades.
• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS or other major cloud providers.
• Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience running CI/CD at scale and designing release strategies (blue/green, canary).
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) to ship services safely and frequently across environments.
• Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes workloads (EKS/GKE) with autoscaling and network policies.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm; ensure reproducible environments.
• Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry; build dashboards and SLOs.
• Lead incident response for outages; drive blameless postmortems and fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Optimize cloud costs (AWS) through right-sizing and cost reviews with engineering teams.
• Partner with application developers on containerization and secure deployment patterns.
