Job summary

Evlo AI seeks an experienced Senior DevOps/SRE to own scalable infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks. You will collaborate with software teams to automate deployments, improve reliability, and reduce toil with IaC-driven practices.

The role emphasizes proactive incident response, security hardening, and capacity planning across cloud environments, with a focus on scalable, automated operations in production.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, including running production systems at scale.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and containerized application deployment in production.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform; scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred: EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS).
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS, VPNs, and service mesh concepts (Istio or Linkerd).
• Track record of improving reliability measurably - SLOs, error budgets, reduced MTTR, or similar outcomes.
• Bonus: experience with multi-cluster or multi-region architectures, GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux), chaos engineering, or platform engineering/IDP builds.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS supporting production traffic at scale.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, cutting build times and enforcing safe, automated deployment practices.
• Build and maintain observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and alerting pipelines with actionable SLOs and error budgets.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform modules, eliminating manual configuration and drift across environments.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems; drive root-cause fixes and resilience improvements rather than repeat patches.
• Harden security posture: secrets management (Vault), IAM least-privilege policies, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation.
• Partner with backend engineers on capacity planning, load testing, and cost optimization across cloud spend.
