Job summary

Evlo AI is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the health, performance, and uptime of large-scale production systems. You will manage Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), service meshes, and observability stacks, building automation to reduce toil and define SLOs.

You will lead incident responses, drive blameless postmortems, and collaborate with product teams to improve deployment safety. The role requires 3–7 years in SRE/DevOps, deep Kubernetes experience, and strong IaC/CI/CD skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong IaC skills using Terraform and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure on Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Define and implement SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets; drive alerting and escalation policies in Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
• Lead incident response for production outages — triage, mitigation, root‑cause analysis, and blameless postmortems with concrete follow‑through.
• Automate away manual operations work by building self‑service tooling, runbooks, and automated remediation in Python or Go.
• Own capacity planning and performance tuning for core services, including load testing, database optimization, and cost/efficiency reviews.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment safety through canary releases, feature flags, and progressive rollouts.
• Partner with engineering teams on reliability reviews, chaos engineering exercises, and production readiness for new services.
