Job summary

This role supports the network and communications pre-commissioning and commissioning process to ensure devices communicate properly during hot commissioning, with hybrid work and required on-site presence at job sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site-specific commissioning plans and adhere to schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams including engineering, construction, and QA/SCADA to align commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including performance, functional, and reliability testing of all communications systems.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning to ensure optimal SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports documenting test results, issues encountered, and corrective actions.
