Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced commissioning specialist to support network and communications pre-commissioning and commissioning on utility-scale solar projects.

The role requires onsite presence at job sites with partial remote work in a hybrid arrangement. You will coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams, perform pre-commissioning and testing of SCADA and communications systems, and produce detailed commissioning reports.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical Drawings/Schematics.
• Strong organizational skills with multi-project management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and adhere to schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams including engineering, construction, and QA to align commissioning activities (SCADA).
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including performance, functional, and reliability testing of communications systems.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning to optimize SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports documenting test results, issues, and corrective actions taken.
• Assist site commissioning personnel in establishing Safety Tagging, Lockout & Work Permit compliance.
