Job summary

Pueblo Water is seeking a skilled SCADA technician to support the installation, testing, and maintenance of the SCADA system across treatment and distribution facilities.

The role emphasizes electrical control systems, PLC programming, VFDs, MCCs, instrumentation, and data communication equipment. Applicants should have an associate degree in a related field and 3+ years of hands-on experience, with the ability to obtain a state water distribution certification within one year.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in relevant field; professional certs may substitute.
• 3+ years of hands-on electrical/electronic field experience including CAD drafting.
• Must obtain and maintain required water distribution certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain SCADA electrical control systems and components.
• Assist with designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and updating Pueblo Water’s SCADA system.
• Maintain SCADA communication systems (cellular, telemetry, wired).
• Integrate and service VFDs and MCCs in treatment and distribution systems.
• Update PLC programs and databases; maintain as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Pueblo Water Risk Management Plan and safety standards.
