Job summary

Ventura Water is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and control systems at water and wastewater facilities.

You will work with PLC- and SCADA-driven processes, industrial instrumentation, and power distribution equipment with emphasis on safety and reliability. A two-year college program in electrical/electronic technology and a CA driver license are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year college program in electrical/electronic technology or related field.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of industrial electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, loop sheets, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control equipment (flow meters, sensors, transmitters, PLC-based systems).
• Diagnose electrical/electronic failures in control panels and MCCs; perform preventive maintenance on SCADA systems.
• Interpret drawings, coordinate with engineers/contractors on upgrades, and support standby/callback duties.
