Job summary

Radiant Systems Inc. is seeking a field engineer to configure and troubleshoot RTUs/SCADA at power-generation sites. You will integrate DCS signals with EMS/SCADA, validate end-to-end points, and resolve Modbus/DNP3 communications issues in a heavy industrial setting.

You will work with plant operations, engineers, and IT teams, travel regionally, and perform on-site testing, commissioning, and telemetry troubleshooting while maintaining thorough documentation and change-control records.

Qualifications

Hands-on RTU configuration/programming experience.
Strong experience with Modbus and DNP3 protocols.
Power plant or heavy industrial field experience.
Experience with SCADA/DCS/EMS integration and telemetry.
Knowledge of IP networking, communication hardware, and field diagnostic tools.
Ability to read P&ID drawings.
Familiarity with LOTO, plant safety, and operating procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with plant personnel.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support RTUs/SCADA systems at power generation sites.
Integrate plant DCS signals with corporate EMS/SCADA and perform end-to-end point validation.
Troubleshoot Modbus and DNP3 protocols (Serial/TCP) and related networking.
Perform hands-on field testing, commissioning, outage support, and telemetry troubleshooting.
Work directly with plant operations and engineering teams, vendors, and corporate IT/network teams.
Coordinate site visits independently and provide occasional short-notice field support.
Maintain documentation, point lists, as-builts, and basic change control.
